background

Acid Oils

Acid oils - are obtained from the acidulation of soapstock. Soapstock is the initial byproduct formed during the neutralization step of alkali refining, and acidulation is the process used to separate fatty acids from soapstock.

Through our strong presence and network in the Latin American vegetable oil industry we are in the position to supply SSAO from different origins in different quantities. We can offer a stable supply of products with consistent quality, sourced directly from the refinery – guaranteeing the integrity of the product and full traceability.

Acid oils qualifies as an advanced feedstock under the European Renewable Energy Directive and can be used to produce biodiesel, HVO or SAF.
